This is a rugged pill box. For me it solves the challenge of organizing my travel pills, while being confident the box won't open.



Amazing model. Insane! But I find it super hard to open, did I make something wrong with my latches? Are the bottom screws supposed to be thinner than the top ones? I guess I could re print just the latches, since the rest of the box came out perfectly fine and I don't want to waste it.
Also YOU are a HERO for doing it with open scad so we Linux users can use it! Nowadays all is fusion 360... (edited)
QUESTION - for those gettnig TEXT onto the top of the box - how do you do this? do you have the text and box lid, print using multi-color, on first couple layers? or some other way to inlay it?
this box is FANTASTIC !!. I did a different parametric box, but it has too large of a chamfer in bottom and top edges, decreases the "SQUARENESS" of the box (the more square, the better the storage). so i did a 50 x 50 x 40 box using your file, changed the chamfer (lessened it), and lessened the wall thickness to 2 mm (less than that created an SCAD error). it printed perfectly !! was able to change # latches to 1, and hinge to 1, for testing. M3 screws work great ! Printed with no supports ! I will post pictures later (in the midst of about 10 other printing projects !) thanks for the excellent work !
I really like your design!
So far, I’ve built two rugged boxes: one for my SSD and one for my power bank. I’m now planning to build a larger version (38 × 25 × 40 cm) for my car.
However, I have one question: it seems that support ribs can only be configured on the side panels, but not on the front or rear panels. Is that intentional?
Or did I overlook the section? 👀 (edited)
Would have added the feet but my glue cap is glued to my glue tube. Love this box. Going to add an insert for driver bits.

Thanks for the sharing, need to protect some expensive equipment, I add some customization. I'll to see if is possible to implement a way to add the dividers at specific measures or modify the created by the mathematical functions , but its excellent model. Thanks 😊
