The original model by Thingiverse user mattcoon was a great start, but I wanted to improve their f3d model to have cleaner geometry and less air restrictions.
I eliminated internal overhangs that would not print super clean without supports. You now only need organic supports for the top of the port cavity and the mounting ears.
V2 UPDATE - 11/27/2024
After testing, I modified the mounting ears to be .5mm thinner and to sit a little lower. The original ears needed to flex a touch more for better installing without using heat, but also sat too high and kept the router from traveling to the top of the mount (when looking at it installed in a table).
Additionally, I filleted some stress risers to avoid cracking/shattering when installing/removing the part.
The author remixed this model.
This version cleans up internal overhang geometry resulting from shell operation misalignment which did not print cleanly and created a whistling noise. It also extends the rear of the port bottom by 20mm to reduce the loft angle for smoother printing, and improved airflow.
