For the plumbing contest - It won't be more plumbing than this!

The perfect way to charge your companion smart watch after a long day of plumbing!

I have been looking for a smartwatch charger stand thingy for a while but I have failed to find one. So I made my own! Based on Super Mario's famous warp pipe!

Print settings

Regular
In the regular version I flipped both the pipe and base upside down to get a nice surface. You need support for the inside of the pipe and the hole for the pipe on the base if you print them upside down.

Layer height: 0.2
Infill: 5%, 3D Honeycomb
Support: Yes

45
In the 45 version I printed the base with 15% infill 28,4mm (first layer of cubes) and the rest with 5% infill. I used 3D Honeycomb.

Layer height: 0.2
Infill: 15% 28.4mm, 5% rest, 3D Honeycomb
Support: Pipe Yes, Base No

On the regular version I put a weight inside the pipe ( a rock my daughter found ) so it would stay put on the table when I lifted the smartwatch. But I think with some more infill you can make it weigh down on its own.

Assemble :

  1. Print!
  2. Insert cable in the pipe.
  3. Align the cable with the hatch inside the pipe.
  4. Press down the charger pad. Its a tight fit, so use your strong hand! But be careful because the hatch for the cable is a narrow turn, and might damage the cable.
  5. Insert the cable in the hole in the base, and feed the cable.
  6. Insert the pipe in the base.
  7. And you are done!

Improvements

  • Create more versions of the pipe for other smartwatch chargers.
