This is a large turning knob designed for heavy use in woodworking jigs and similar applications. It contains a M8 metal nut inside to make a very rigid thread.
Outer diameter is 60mm.
I recommend using "Prusa Control" Slicer for easy inclusion of a print pause command to allow the insertion of the nut..
See https://prusacontrol.org/ for details.
See printing instructions below for details how to print.
Printer Brand: Prusa
Printer: i3 MK3
Rafts: No
Supports: No
Resolution: 0,2
Infill: 20
Notes:
Can be printed in PLA, ABS or PETG
For maximum stability increase the thinkness of the outer walls, top and bottom layers. Increasing the infill over 20% is not neccessary.
The STL is optimized to be printed with 0,2mm resolution. This is neccessary to have one layer tolerance above the inlay M8 nut to avoid a collision with the nozzle.
Needs a printer pause at 9,4mm layer height.using m600 command.
G-Code for Prusa i3 MK3 is added as a Reference.
