UPDATE:

Version 2.0 is now uploaded!

after the release of the official dummy13 v1.0 model files, i spent some time with this project again. i've retooled various components both to fit with the new structure of dummy13 and to improve issues i felt existed in the original models.

the new cover image represents a full print of the updated model, including justice and splendor! i'll probably upload more pictures as i take them, haha.

the original models will be available still, for archival purposes, but i have done a complete upload of all parts needed for the new gabriel models! in addition, i have provided sorted-by-color, pre-plated files that should allow you to print him without losing track of what parts you have and haven't done yet. i've sorted these plates by color, and included multimaterial plates for the necessary parts.

as before, i designed these parts for printing at 200%! unlike before, they're a lot more likely to still work even at smaller scales, but i still feel that i should mention this.

also as before, the parts should be printable just fine using the recommended settings for dummy13. i printed my example gabriel entirely in PETG.

i suggest supporting:

  • plateskirt parts
  • helmet
  • kneepads
  • pauldrons
  • chestplate

Patch Notes:

  • re-painted the default gabriel helmet to include that stripe that goes over the top
    • note: i would rather walk into the ocean than re-model the interior socket to fit the dummy13 v1.0 socket. you can just use the old head frame piece. it works fine. i've included it for convenience.
  • remodeled pauldrons to make them larger and thicker, more game-accurate
  • remodeled knee parts to make them more substantial and feel more game-accurate
    • i also altered their socket in order to fit the new dummy13 part.
  • altered the plateskirt ball joint (and corresponding socket on the belt) so that it is larger, more durable, and allows for more ease in posing him
  • added justice/splendor prints (!!) (to print splendor, just invert the colors.)
    • these i made off of existing models, but i rescaled them to feel more proportionally accurate to dummy13. i did not include the guards, because at this scale they don't print and in addition, adding them would make it impossible for gabe to hold them.
      • i suggest not gluing in the pommel, so that you can push the hilt through an existing dummy13 hand (you may need to sand the hand's hole to enlarge it some) and then press the pommel in (possibly with blu-tack, like i used, to keep it in) for posing and photographing.
      • you will need to superglue the parts together, but it's pretty easy.
  • added printable halo, with and without the triangles that stick out from the sides
    • i have added holes in the back of the helmets in order to attach the peg from the halo. it should be a simple press fit that you can remove if desired.

note again

when i was trying to upload all the new parts, printables locked up on me. let me know if anything is missing!!!!!! i still have the files and i can just pop them right back up.

Original Description

BEHOLD!

god's specialest little hater, modeled for the dummy13 frame. i have the default, normal version of gabriel, and then a "fallen angel" variant i made for a personal project. it's got cute little horns!

my example print is the fallen angel version, because that's why i made this whole thing to begin with.

i made these parts specifically for printing at 200% scale, so i'm uncertain precisely how well they'll print at smaller scales (particularly the small ball joints on the plateskirt), but they worked well for me. you'll probably want to support the head print, those plateskirt parts, and the pauldrons for best results. please note that the plateskirt parts are not symmetrical, and as such you'll need to print the second one mirrored.

i have included predone multimaterial plates for ease of use; note that on those predone plates, the parts are scaled up to 200% already. the arm, leg, and belt+buckle armor multimaterial prints are really only useful if you're printing him in a color palette other than his default; in the default palette, all of those parts are simply gold. the head, plateskirt, and chestplate paints, however, are useful even in his default palette (i included paints of the default head and chest, for convenience.)

if you want to give him that strip of cloth hanging from his belt buckle, you'll have to glue on a literal piece of cloth. there was no way i was gonna be able to model that without him becoming impossible to pose. same goes for the actual skirt underneath the plate parts of his plateskirt.

i've also included a few parts from other dummy13 mods that i felt gave me the best possible result:
- angel wings (the big variant) (i recommend a lower infill for this, so it limits how back-heavy he gets)
- an improved chest frame that works better for upscaled prints
- a wider hip joint, and hinged versions of the same, for different hip articulation as desired (the example photo has the wider hip joint.)
+ pecs chestpiece, if you want to make him topless. degenerate.

i printed mine entirely in PETG using the recommended print settings for the base dummy13 model, which you can check on the dummy13 page.

i highly encourage you to share your makes! i'd love to see them.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I've remade most of my custom components in order to meet better printing standards, plus fit the new v1.0 release of Dummy 13.
