Toothbrush tree

Goals of this project :

• to have an object that combines practicality and design.  
• to store the toothbrushes properly and allow them to dry. Caution: toothbrushes should not touch each other, as maintaining good hygiene is essential. 
• to keep dental hygiene products in the same place. 
• to be easy to clean.
• to be pleasing.

Decription :

Firstly, we made the base of our product a cuboid with dimensions of 20x15x1cm. In the cuboid, there is a cup holder.  There is also a stand to support the base of our product in the middle

Then, we made the leg using a laser cutter. It is composed of two parts that are interlocking. We have chosen to make the leg out of wood because wood is a strong and resistant material. It is also necessary to use varnish to prevent the wood from rotting.

Secondly, we chose to make a circular feature at the top of the object to product a tree effect. The goal is to put the toothbrush into the hole that are on the circular/spherical feature. There are four holes because there are about four people in a family. The material we have chosen for this is acrylic because it is more durable than wood, and it is water-resistant.

To finish, we have made gaskets/washer circle (1,6 cm) so it has a better stability. 

Every 3-dimensional piece is made from PLA.
