MacBook Pro 14" 2021 stand

This model is a modified version of the 16" stand found on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5140925 . While the simple design of that stand was nice, there were some problems. Obviously, a 16" stand isn't great for a 14" model. The design also has no space for any padding and I wasn't too keen on letting my MBP touch the printed design (for reasons of heat, scratches, colour giving off, etc). The Thingiverse model also sits on the floor and blocks the centre fan exhaust so has poor thermal properties.
 

For the above reasons I redesigned an MBP 14" stand from scratch based on the original model. This new design has feet to stand higher. The feet have holes to add 8mm anti-slip pads. The design also leaves space for 1.5mm foam padding on the inside. The tolerances are such that 2mm foam also works for an extra snug fit (as I use), or 1mm foam for a more loose fit that allows you to repeatedly and quickly take the MBP in and out during the day. There is also an opening at the bottom of the design to keep air from the centre exhaust fan flowing freely. Because we're talking about hot exhaust air it's a good idea to print this model in PETG.
 

This model needs to be printed with auto-supports generated for the cross-beams as shown in the screenshot. An SVG template is included to cut out the foam pattern. All lines in this pattern are cut lines. Cutting can be done by hand or using a cutting machine such as the Cricut. The template dimensions are 11.4 cm x 7.38 cm.
