Atlas Holding the Nozzle - 2024 3D Printing Industry Awards
Description
PDFHi everyone. I am P1lotz, a professional 3D artist.
I have worked in the field since 2019 and specialize in creating articulated creatures, particularly dragons. For once, I made a model that's not a dragon, but a trophy for the 3d printing industry award show.
The model is inspired by Atlas from Greek mythology. Just as Atlas holds the world, this stick figure holds a nozzle. A fun detail is that the stick figure is holding the nozzle while it's printing it.
The design is very stable, due to the structure of the filament coming out of the nozzle on the model, which makes it a fun way to display one's love for the world of 3d printing.

FDM or metal and SLS?
There are two models in this collection.
The full model dimensions are 105.42 x 120.75 x 125 mm, while the dimensions of the two-part model are as follows: top: 38.2 x 44.1 x 20.2 mm and bottom: 104 x 120 x 95.2 mm. The two-part model is supposed to be printed in metal and printed with SLS, for the competition, whereas the full model is supposed to be printed with FDM for everyone's use. An infill rate of 10% to 15% is ideal for the FDM model. Although the model can technically be printed without support, I highly recommend using support.
Below, you can see the two-part model. The top will be printed in metal, while the bottom will be printed using SLS.
Information about Commercial license
The design is created using Blender 3D, as usual. If you're interested in obtaining a commercial license for my dragon or any of my other designs, you can join my printables club.
