Fluval Spec 16 (60L) Flow Diffuser

A flow diffuser for the Fluval Spec 16 gallon / XV / 60 L.   Helps reduce current for more sensitive fish and floating plants.

Two models are included.  The flow diffuser directs flow towards the back and side of the tank creating a light circular current.  The Alt model further disrupts currents by directing the flow towards the front of the tank.

Simply pop the stock diffuser off it's round ball mount and install this in it's place.

Note this will create only minor surface agitation so I recommend an airstone or skimmer to disrupt surface films if they are a problem for you.  I run an airstone at night on a timer as I inject CO2 during the day.

I have included the scad model file to allow modifications for whatever flow pattern/strength you desire. 

My copy was printed in PETG at 10% infill with no supports.

Design drawn from scratch, but inspired by the excellent SpecV diffuser from MortalWombat. Size/fit and flow pattern was optimized for the Spec 16.
