With this parallel guide for the Makita RT0700CX2J Router you can mill a 30° chamfer along a workpiece contour.

Ball bearings ensure that the original edge will not be damaged.

The minimum workpiece thickness is 27mm. If you want to work with thinner materials, you can attach appropriate spacer plates with double-sided adhesive tape under the angle plate to bring the ball bearings to the correct height on your workpiece.

The router bit can have a maximum diameter of 20mm.

The guide plate is designed in such a way that it also serves as finger protection.

All you need to assemble the guide, are a few M3 screws, M3 melting nuts and two ball bearings (4x13x5mm 624ZZ).

I printed the guide out of PLA and I am very happy with it.

(As you can see from the results in the photos.)

To assemble it, as shown in the photos, you will need to print the following parts:

  • 1x base plate_part01
  • 1x base plate_part02
  • 1x angle plate
  • 1x guide plate
  • 1x dust suction adapter (optional)

Have fun printing and milling. :)
