If you find my designs useful, please consider sending a tip
I recently mounted my GeForce RTX 3080 vertically in my Corsair iCUE 4000X case using the Linkup PCI-E 4.0 Riser Support cable but I was concerned about how much the Riser's PCB flexed when the GPU was installed, so I designed this support plate.
This support plate fits over the mounting stand-offs in the case and stops the PCB from flexing. The Riser has a red cable management clip which is thicker than the PCB, so I added a channel at the back to allow the PCB to sit flush on the support.
There are 3 variants if you are concerned about airflow: v1: Solid support v2: Triangular ventilation holes v3: Horizontal ventilation slots
I have printed and tested all 3 and not noticed any significant heat issues regardless of which used, so really it's more down to personal preference.
This may fit other cases, I'm not sure if the stand-off mounting holes in the PSU basement are an industry standard distance apart or not, and I don’t have another case to check. The stand-offs I used in the case were M3x6mm+6mm.
