Blackmagic Pocket 6k Speedbooster Mod

This is for getting the full frame field of view and depth of field. Existing speedboosters for the BMPCC6k are expensive. This one is DIY and can be done for about $150 US - the cost of a standard speedbooster. That's because all you need is a standard speedbooster and an IR cut filter. The great thing here is that you can use existing manual and electronic lenses since it keeps the same EF mount - it entirely fits inside of the existing mount. Note that this mod voids your Blackmagic Warranty because you need to remove the stock IR filter. However it's not a difficult mod.

Directions:

1. Buy a 32mm IR cut filter like this one: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804008898608.html
2. Buy a Zhongyi Lens Turbo II FX M42 adapter (other Zhongyi APSC speedboosters may work, but are untested): https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804094064584.html
3. Remove the glass speedbooster insert from the adapter by unscrewing it - you may need to loosen the small hex screw.
4. Print the STL's attached in PETG - no support needed.
5. Wrap some tape as needed for a snug fit to the back of the speedbooster and slide over the IR Cut Filter behind the speedboster.
6. Assemble by inserting the speedbooster glass into the Back and sliding the Front over it. Use some M1x3mm screws if you like, or glue them together.

8. Install the assembled speedbooster and re-use existing screws to tighten down.
