A compact and durable case designed to reinforce Apple’s Lightning to 3.5mm audio adapter, known for its fragile cable. The case reduces stress on the connector, providing extra support to prevent wear and tear. It includes enough clearance for a phone case and allows the phone to lay flat on a table. The 3.5mm jack is positioned as close to the Lightning connector as possible to minimize angular stress during jack insertion.
Assembly requires gluing to secure the Lightning connector in place and prevent sliding. Lightly sand the dongle surfaces before applying glue to ensure a strong bond.
Print with the flat external surfaces facing the bed (see image). This avoids impacting internal tolerances. For this positioning the recommended settings are 0.15mm layer height, 3 perimeters, and 0% infill.
