**********

This hard case helps store and organize the Ice Hockey Figures I created to help kids visualize positional play on the ice.

Key Features:

  1. Fits all 14 figures in the box - and keeps them organized.
  2. You can easily tell if one of the figures is missing.
  3. Hinged lid that latches shut.
  4. Box and Lid are printed separately and uses sections of filament to act as hinges.

Printing Recommendations:

  1. Perfect application for PLA.  PETG also recommended.
  2. 0.2mm layers, 2 vertical walls
  3. Use the .3mf files included - they include adhesion helpers on each of the corners.
  4. Use both the adhesion helpers and 2-3mm brim (due to the larger size).

Hinge assembly Instructions (do this for both hinges):

  1. Cut a piece of filament about 5mm longer than the hinge length.
  2. Using a lighter or mini torch, heat up one end then press this end against a surface like a table to form a flattened “nail head”.
  3. Insert the filament through each hinge and trim length so that only 1 or 1.5mm sticks out.
  4. Heat up a soldering iron with a flat tip.*
  5. While holding the “nail head” pressed in place, use the soldering iron* to melt the open end to form the "other nail head” to lock the filament in place.

* Alternatively:  if you don't have a soldering iron, heat up the side of an X-Acto blade (with a lighter/mini torch) and use that to press and create the "other nail head”.
