The NT1 5th gen is slightly different to other NT1 models and can't use the SMR, unless you print this.

I used an NT1 for years, but since I use multiple computers I wanted audio to input to any of them without worrying about analog mixing and relying on the quality of whatever sound hardware might be in a random machine. The USB-C connectivity of the 5th gen NT1 made it a great upgrade.

However I had also bought the SMR shock mount which is much more compact and streamlined than the included SM-6 shock mount. But the NT1 5th gen does not have the narrowed protrusion at the base that centers it in the SMR and allows the threads to sit lower so that the locking ring can engage fully. It can be attached but only half the threads engage and it is easy to position the mic off centre.

This print is a new mounting ring to use the SMR shock mount with a NT1 5th gen. It has 6mm body, same as the old locking ring, but a raised section of 30mm diameter that protrudes up into the SMR mount ring and centers the microphone. Because it engages threads up inside the body of the mount the full height of the microphone threads are engaged.

The thread inside the ring is a 3/4-24 thread. This printed well enough at .10mm “Fast Detail” layer height on the MK4S that it feels like a bought one. Printing this at 100% infill is probably a good idea, it does not add much to print time. Knurling is not a perfect match to the RODE original part but it is easy to grip.
