Ender 3 v3 KE , Vertical Display Adapter, for mounting in cabinet, with USB Holder and Stylus Holder. **This is a beta version
This model can and will print with supports.
The positives -
- It allows you to mount your screen (assuming you have a long enough wire, or made your own like I did) to an alternate location inside a custom 3d printer enclosure.
- It comes with enough of an offset from the right side to allow USB connections on its right, while still allowing it to be mounted on the right side of a cabinet.
- It supports the ability to add a stylus at its bottom, and a usb drive can be held on it.
The opportunities -
- This is a first version, meaning its not perfect. Its a bit overengineered and likely could be simplified to shorten print time, and filament usage.
- Although this is strongly made, geometry likely could use some cleaning up
- During the design for this, I didn't consider the amount of supports needed for this build. Its possible it may not need as much as I used (auto generated), but about half the build time and filament usage was supports alone.
- Likely since I'm fairly new to 3d printing, this can be dialed in a lot better and your milage could vary.
Some Remix Idea-
- Maybe a standalone desk mount could be created (with custom wiring of course), built off the concept and design of this model. Its something I even considered.
- Another cost saving solution, has this version amended, to have less a stand look, and more like a right angle off the cabinet wall, same face, but less of a backend. This will likely need more triangle supports close to the adjoining face and wall bracket.
I hope this is helpful!
