READ FIRST:

I provided two versions. I highly suggest printing the stronger version. When the CFS is fully loaded, the original version will sag. The stronger version stops this from happening.

This is a recreation of @TozzEmak's K2 PLUS CFS HOLDER

The original version uses a lot of fillets. To get a quality print, supports are required. I rebuilt this completely using the dimensions from the original using chamfers instead. This makes the entire thing printable in high quality without supports (bridging is required) and also maintains the sharp edge aesthetics of the K2 Plus box.

There is also a “Stronger” version. In the original design, the front of the CFS is held on by a single screw, with a cantilevered arm. This creates a weak point where the weight of the CFS cannot be fully supported by the holder. This version adds another screw hole which resolves this issue.

Below is modified instructions from @TozzEmak's K2 PLUS CFS HOLDER as they are largely still applicable.

DO NOT DISCARD THE 4 SCREWS THAT SECURE THE CFS DURING SHIPPING AS THEY WILL BE REUSED. (You can still use M4 screws if the original ones are unavailable.)

Hardware:

  • 2x M3x16 screws
  • 2x M3x40 screws (for Stronger Version)
  • 2x M3 washers (for Stronger Version) (Optional, But Recommended)
  • 4x original CFS packing screws (or M4 screws possibly)

Print Instructions:

  • BOTH PARTS FIT ON ONE PLATE (N/A for Stronger version)
  • DO NOT PRINT IN PLA (The printer heats up significantly when heating the chamber.)
  • Recommended material: ABS
  • Minimum: 3 walls, 25% infill

Assembly:

  1. Remove the 2 top screws from the back panel of the K2 Plus.
  2. Using the 4 screws from the CFS packaging, hand-tighten the printed parts to the bottom of the CFS.
  3. *Stronger Version
    1. Remove the 2 m3 screws which align with the additional holes in the holder
    2. Hand-tighten the M3x40 screws into place
  4. Align the back of the CFS with the back panel holes and tighten the M3 screws.
  5. Secure the 4 screws holding the CFS.
  6. *Stronger Version
    1. Secure the remaining 2 screws

Update 2024.11.27

The original design just passes the top of the touchscreen when removing the top glass. Upon request, I added a version that has an additional 5mm of clearance.

I want to always keep my designs free for anyone who wants to use them, but this does take time and effort. So if my designs are worth something to you, please feel free to buy me a beer
