My kids telescope, a Skywatcher Explorer 130. Had it's focuser tubes rack break, the gears was stripped.

So I looked at replacements on the market, as well as 3D printed ones. But no one fitted my kids telescope as is.
So I started modelling one myself, was gonna go with the friction and bearing crayford focuser design first. But decided to try and use the hardware I had at my disposal.
It works, and now we can fully utilize it once more.

This requires only heat inserts for M3 bolts, could go with M4 inserts as well.

The pinion shaft, metal clamp and bracket is the only thing needed from the stock focuser.
The metal bracket needs to be bent a bit, to accomodate the new shape.
