  • Straightforward
  • Skill-based
  • Suitable for children too! (keep away if they choke though!)
  • Three playable levels (the further is the flicker, the harder it gets)
  • Three playable baskets (hoop in a specific basket, other baskets are danger zone)
  • Marked baskets.
  • Simple design.

Idea

The game is a mix of basket mini-hoop and blocks/rings building. It has a PvPvE theme and features three baskets and could be played in many desired modes.

Basically, two players compete, each one selects their basket and and then the third basket is left for Environment. Players then try to score their hoop, and when scored, they hook a ring / restore a plate, and when they miss, the round goes to the other player.

Scoring the opponent's basket results in giving the opponent a free hook restoring plate ! Scoring the environment (non-player) basket leads to losing a hook!

The game ends when either all plates are lost or hooked (hence: PAIN or GAIN).

How to play / Rules

  • Selection:
    • The two players select their desired basket, it's recommended to keep the center basket for Environment, it makes the game harder.
  • Scoring:
    • Player scoring in their own basket →
      • If they have lost plates → they get a plate back (NO HOOK IS ALLOWED)
      • they have their plates and nothing is lost → they hook the plate onto their pole
    • Player scoring in their opponent's basket →
      • The opponent has lost plates → the opponent get a plate back (NO HOOK IS ALLOWED)
      • The opponent has their plates and nothing is lost → the opponent hook the plate onto their pole
  • Mechanism:
    • Players have the ability to choose their flicker level, either furthest or nearest, unless stated otherwise (check the possible modes)
    • The ball lands in the corresponding basket (marked with a number)

How game ends

  1. Player loses all of their plates.
  2. Player hooks all of their plates.

Possible Modes

  1. Only one level is allowed (the further, the harder)
  2. Only one basket is allowed for both players (The other two baskets are environment's)
  3. Scoring into environment's basket → all plates are unhooked
  4. First three consecutive hoops → game ends
  5. … be creative!

Notes

All flicker levels work, it's just harder :)

Print suggestions:

  • Infill: 5% for everything, 80-100% for the ball.
  • Support: Tree.
  • Nozzle head: 0.4 is optimal.

How-to:

  1. Print the plates.
  2. Wait until it cools down and then remove it.
  3. Gently cut the support.
  4. Use double-tape and tape the bottom to keep it stable so it doesn't fly away when someone gets angry :)
  5. Insert the flicker into its base (make sure that support is fully removed!)
  6. Play!
