A 3D printed rigid smartphone case that is designed for its back to be changed so anybody could personalized the way they want.

The print was made using PLA, however, other rigid materials, such us PETG may be more advisable to use. Another option would be to use a rigid material and a flexible one, in the zone that grips the phone, like TPU.

The frame was made using a 0.2 layer height, while the backplate was printed using a 0.16 layer height.

The backplate in the images was made using infill, if you want to recreate it. Using a 0 top layer the infill is revealed, while the infill itself was a 20% hexagonal type with an anchor of 0%, an increased sparsed infill and infill combination activated.

The idea of this plate was inspired by Teaching Tech video about infills:

As a final note, I will try to continue improving the case by creating new functional backplates (with rubber bands to better the vertical grip or a collapsable phone stand). However, I would love for everyone interested in the concept to remix this base adapting it to different phones and creating new functional or aesthetic prints.

Thank you everyone reading for showing interest in the concept and HAPPY PRINTING ;).
