This is my attempt on making the printer head lighter and more precise. It utilizes a BambuLab hotend, or in my case a very good copy, and the BondTech extruder made for the Wanhao D6. Also remote cooling with CPAP-tube.
My goal is to print really fast, with good quality, and also being able to print PLA, TPU, ABS and so on, materials that the D6 otherwise can't print. So far I have been able to print at up to 400mm/s with an acceleration of 15000 mm/s²
I'm running Klipper on this machine with input shaping. With the heavy stock parts, the resonant frequencies were around 25hz. With this being a lot lighter, the resonant frequency is now around 100hz, an enormous improvement!
PTFE-tube is needed inside of the printer body. It's a tight fit, so you may need to carefully drill a little bit. The tube needs to go all the way to the hotend and upp to the PTFE connector..
Various M3 screws and bolts is needed for assembly. Also a 30mm fan for hotend cooling.
This is still a work in progress
