Files are available to print a head, handle and arm to build a new launcher. If you have an existing launcher with a broken head, follow the steps below to replace it.
The replacement head can be attached to most dog ball launchers. Cut off the broken head just below the cup. Remove any burrs or rough edges. Slide replacement head onto throwing arm. Drill a 3mm hole through the existing hole on the new head. Use a 10mm long screw to attach head. Heat up the screw with a lighter before inserting it into the hole to help create the proper threads.
I used ABS and a .3mm nozzle. It created a nice smooth finish that will help with the cup releasing the ball properly. Print handle and arm together without supports and the head alone with organic supports. When printing the arm, be aware of the lettering for the handle end.
So far, the best orientation for the head is as the file is loaded. Reference pics included
