Anxiety from Inside Out 2 gave me an idea for a quick and easy “costume” prop. The characters very large eyes and frizzy hair reminded me of the Sesame Street Yip Yip Martians and I wanted to make something that blended the two.
Assembly
- Print @Kadows hairband in PETG along with one large snap.
- Print the pipe cleaner holder and nose crown eye post. I used my same orange PETG (Prusament). Glue Large snap to the bottom of the pipe cleaner holder without the holes.
- Crown should go over the snap with the post pointing up towards the opposite end of the pipe cleaner holder.
- Slide the thin bar through the hole in the crown post. This might need a bit of work stretching the hole using dental picks. Slide the bar evenly on both sides.
- Glue the eye hemispheres to the eyelid bases. Make sure to position the seam down as to not show in the upper reflection surface area.
- Slide the eyelid bases onto the thin bar and tape the back or glue. I allowed for them to slide on for positioning if you need.
- Thread the pipe cleaner holder with pipe cleaners. Taking one pipe cleaner per eyebrow thread through the eyelet and wrap through to secure for positioning. Because of their weight you might want to put another pipe cleaner through the eyelet to add strength.
- We had some translucent wrapping ribbon and it just added to that crazy wave of hair Anxiety has.

Looking for a base for the prop I found @Kadows - HairSnaps, The Modular Hairband.
Using the largest snap I modeled several pieces to be put together to assemble this Anxiety themed hairband.
