The Airbus A318 is the smallest member of the Airbus A320 family, designed for short to medium-haul routes. It first entered service in 2003 and seats between 107 and 132 passengers, depending on the seating configuration. With its shorter fuselage, the A318 is particularly suited for airports with limited runway length and challenging approaches, such as London City Airport. Although it was not a best-seller compared to other A320 models, the A318 remains valued for its versatility and efficiency in niche markets where smaller jets are preferred.
