This is a simple bokeh mask designed for the Nikon Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.8G lens. It attaches using the lens hood bayonet mount, with smaller coupling tabs to allow for some rotation of the mask. The dimensions are optimized for a secure yet easy fit on the lens.
For best results, print in matte black (though other materials should work fine). I've also included a blank mask, so you can create custom mask designs directly in your slicer.
My goal was to make a mask that's quick to attach and remove, with some adjustability for rotation. All designs I found and tested so far either simply don't fit/stay on the lens, or are way to fiddly to set up. With these masks I shoot wide open at f/1.8. They do produce strong vignetting (see sample images) but I find them very much usable.
The prints shown in the gallery were done on a Prusa MK3.5 using Prusament PLA Galaxy Black, 0.2mm layer height, and the speed profile. The thin walls give it a bit of flexibility for a light friction fit but if handled too rough they may break, although so far with normal use I haven't had any of them fail.
