I made this case because I wanted simple design with 40mm fan that I would like.

Please note that this assembly requires:

20mm long M3 screws or similar 
40mm fan with screws and with correct connectors.
Gluing if you use transparent LED light guide part (PVC piping glue works well for PETG) - this is optional


Depending on your screws you might need to widen holes on raspberry board itself with the drill bit or file. Please make sure before assembly that screws fit through the board and have friction in the cover when you screw them into holes as on picture. (I needed to widen the holes on all boards) But it's very easy to do. All you need is 3mm drill bit or round file with diameter of 3mm (or smaller).

Depending on your fan and it's connectors you also might need to replace wire connectors on that fan and shorten the cables. I used 40mm Noctua fan (NF-A4x10 5V) and had to replace  and shorten them. It requires a bit of skill and some other tools like cutters, crimpers and pin connector for board, etc. But I am Noctua freak when it comes to cooling. Check your fan beforehand if Raspberry can run it;)

I also recommend to connect to the 3V pin. Fan is slower but much quieter (and consume less power). 

I have 3 Raspberry 4Bs running 24/7 for years on this setup.

You can print the small LED light guide with transparent PETG and glue that to the top part of the case. Color of top and bottom part is your choice.

You are free to use 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height. It would look even better.

I printed mine with these settings:

- printer: Prusa MK3S
- layer height: 0.3mm
- nozzle diameter: 0.6mm
- print orientation: as in the STL file
- material: PETG
- supports: not needed
- how many perimeters: 3

If you use smaller diameter nozzle and 0.2mm layer height, it will be even nicer :)
