The lid prop angles the top glass creating a “chimney effect” to vent the hot air. With my 50mm versions of the lid spacer, you no longer have to print PLA with the door open.
The original design was very narrow and made the glass lid feel unstable. I redesigned the entire model in Fusion 360, widened the model to full handle width so that now the top lid feels stable and in place when propped open for PLA printing.
Thank you Ryan Shultz for your original creation.
There are fancier devices out there to achieve this same task, yet I find myself using this. It is a stupid simple design that just works.
Print in PLA or any, 25% infill, no supports needed.

[Update 12-01-2024]
I have updated the larger lid prop to be rounded, smoother around the edges for your hands. I have not smoothed the bottom surface on purpose so that it will grab the lid seal properly and not slip. See image above. (Larger lid prop[braced][TFTC][+50mm][edge]V3).
[Update]
Added 2 new designs: upper and lower bracing and top curve
Lowered/Trimmed the foot to edge length.
Added a 50mm taller version. Reduced the foot print at the bottom to yield a little more pressure into padding without compromising printed strength.
With the taller version, I no longer have to print PLA with the door open. Prints fine with just the 50mm spacer.
*Not intended to sit on the screen, I just have it there for one of the pictures.
The author remixed this model.
The model was significantly widened to the full handle width so that now the top lid feels stable and in place when propped open for PLA printing.
