When printing PLA, I don't like leaving the doors open or the top lid completely open, so I made this retractable prop to keep the lid open. Works extremely well in conjunction with a extractor fan.

Two versions of the base attachment to the lid: One for threaded inserts and one with tapered holes to insert the hinge screws. The hinge is basically just two M3 nuts that attach the prop to the base plate. You can turn them just tight enough for a friction fit that doesn't allow it to hang when the lid is closed. There's also a compartment for one of the extra magnets that came with the enclosure kit. Just add a pause to the slices to add the magnet and continue printing.

The prop tucks away nicely when not needed.

I use the lid upside down and it screws into existing threaded holes on the lid. So basically you need 4X M3 bolts and some PLA to make this.

I printed this in PLA on my MK4 with 0.15mm layer height.
