Welcome to the exciting world of Wonderwall - the wall mounting solution with wonders and miracles.
This is the Wonderwall Mount you use as the base to connect any Wonderwall panel to your wall.
Wonderwall is a generic and versatile wall mounting framework. It is meant to be as extendable as possible while packing everything into a small footprint. Wonderwall can be used organise your things (for example using the multiboard (with miracle), HSW or Swedish Pegboard Panel), add light (for example using the plain light panel) or add decor elements as you like. Browse Wonderwall compatible models on on printables, on makerworld.
Wonderwall is based on a 100x100mm base grid size for one “quarter” panel, while its base “full” panel is using 200x200mm.
The panel is provided in three sizes:
Print with 3 perimeters and at least 20% infill.
To connect multiple panels you can use the panel clip. This clip will keep multiple panels in place, also supported by the little grooves on the side of the mount panels. Using the clips you can built a mounting area of multiple meters. The clips in general keep the panel connected very tightly. I recommend using two clips for each 100mm side, which means 4 clips for the 200mm version and 8 clips for the 400mm version, on each edge.
You can clip all mount panels together and then use the whole assembly to prepare mounting the panels - if you for example need to drill holes into your wall and need to mark those first. Connect the mount panels in a way to the wider beam in the middle gives a nice zig zag pattern, while Ensuring you have on of those beams pointing to each of the corners.
To hand your mount panels to you wall I recommend using at least one screw at every corner of your assembly. Depending on your assembly size and the weight you want to attach to the panel you should add additional screws as necessary.
Each panel has several screw holes in the wider beam in the middle of each 100x100mm segment. You can directly use those with smaller flat head screws. For countersink or bigger flat head screws you should use the provided washers, I recommend using those for all screws, but thats your decision.
The Wonderwall Mount Panel has different methods to attach things:
With the Wonderwall Mount Panel you can also get the most generic screws, which are the back cover screws. Those can be used when attaching slim elements, like used for the Miracle Mount. For even more flexible mounting solutions you can also use the Wonderwall Multiconnect screws.
Wonderwall is meant to be as open and extendible as possible. As of this it is released under a permissive license and I provide all the STEP and also Shapr3D files. In addition I do provide base modeling files you can use. I really hope Wonderwall can grow into a 3D printing solution loved and extended by many people, so if anything is missing please drop me a note.
When you extend Wonderwall please add the tag “wonderwall” to all of your models. This way people can find your models on printables, on makerworld any other platforms.
