This is an end delivery shuttle, I decided to create a version fully 3D printed. Typically that kind of shuttle has a screw to adjust the tension for the thread. Here instead of using that approach I build multiple add on with various width which permit to adjust to the thread size and type.
Currently the adaptor are for .2, .3 and .4 mm but other could easily be printed by creating new part.
I can easy adjust if you have feedback and suggestion. I also made one higher but after talking with my wife who do the weaving she said the smaller height is preferable.
The thread holder is made of three part. The main one to get filled will fit in the other part that will then permit to hold in the shuttle.
Sadly, the format of the shuttle does not permit to print without support. There is a cut version but the gluing of the part is not simple the best solution that worked for myself is to print the file : Navette_V2_25mm.stl with the bottom of the bed and rotated at roughly 45 degres to permit to fit on the printer bed. I did put below a screenshot illustrating the placement.
This require some sanding to smooth the bottom of the shuttle. The sanding is not too hard but required.
