Some coffee machines, like the Profitec Go, require releasing water and steam from the steam wand before frothing milk. If you use a cup or drip tray, the hot water drops can cause burns. The towel gets wet and may still burn you. Using a cup with cold water will cause the most daemonic sounds you ever heard. It's just a messy and annoying process.

The Coffee Steam Dryer uses the entrainment effect to direct the steam flow through a condenser and away from the user, allowing steam release without the risk of being burned by hot water drops.

Point the steam wand to the Coffee Steam Dryer, open the valve, and take care of the milk while it's doing its job. A huge time-saver!

Printing instructions:

  • Red parts 🟥: Use ABS or ASA with 100% infill (to prevent air expansion inside the printed parts). PETG can be used, but testing with 140°C steam over two months showed some degradation.
  • Blue part 🟦: Use PETG.
  • Black part ⬛: Use TPU, FLEX, or skip printing this part.

Do not use PLA for anything except an optional wrench.

Usage hint:

Don't put the steaming wand deep into it. Check the photo.
