Magnetic Headphone Holder

I made this headphone holder taking some inspiration from other models that exist online.

Printing Info:

• Material: PLA
• Supports and brim (probably optional)
• If using fuzzy skin make sure to exclude the back and the magnet holes
• Required post processing to get rid of the sharp edges left by bottom supports
• Print sideways (as seen in picture above)

Design Notes:

• Uses 20x3mm magnets
• Holes oversized (by 0.5mm) to make adding magnets easy
• Holes are 0.5mm deeper than magnet to avoid direct metal to metal clanking
• Requires super glue
• Arch dimensions just estimated, so it may leave an indent in the foam (more testing is needed)
• Has a small front edge to prevent headphones from slipping off
• Reference headphones: Sony WH-1000XM4

Potential Improvements:

• Extend arch distance (and how it matches with the front and back) in order to prevent supports on the edge of the arch where it meets the bed plate
• Make radius of arch larger to have less chance of indentation
