This is a piece to convert a monitor-mounted LED bar to a desktop standing task lamp. I bought the lamp but quickly realized I didn't like how it looked up on the monitor.

I opted for reusing the original base because it's already weighted and has a small footprint.

Made with DesignSpark Mechanical. A couple minor adjustments were made after I took these photos, the updated part should be better fitting.

Parts

The LED bar is the "Baseus Monitor Light Bar" USB powered LED lamp linked here:

Two M3 bolts are also good to have, I think I used 8mm? Might've been 12mm.

Assembly

  • Separate the bar from the base via two T9 screws on the back
  • Remove the USB power board via two phillips screws
  • Reinsert the two phillips screws onto the basewithout the USB board (for storage)
  • Attach the printed part to the base, and secure it with the T9 / M3 screws
  • Connect a USB-C cable to the board. The cutout on the printed piece is fit for the stock cable.
  • Align the board and cable in the cutout so that it sits freely when assembled (see pic)
  • Press-fit the bar onto the stand. With some wiggling it should be very snug. Printed in about 3 hours on my Ender 5 Pro. The MatterHackers black matches the bar's coloring perfectly. An unintended use-case is that it doubles as a phone stand! The rubber coating on the base works great :D
