Pretty quick print for holding a 5/16" nut in some extruded aluminum. The one caveat is that you need to use low-profile nuts rather than the nuts from the “just take a handful and we will weigh them to give you a price” bin, which are too tall to fit into the aluminum.
The low profile nuts ended up being basically as much as getting the economy nuts direct from 8020, but you can use these immediately and not have to wait for shipping, so there's that.
Settings probably don't matter in the grand scheme of things. No supports necessary. The nut itself is going to be the point of contact and pressure when the items are secured, this nut holder just keeps the nut straight getting the initial torque in there.
STEP file is included—not sure what modifications you'd need to make for this, but it's there if you're wild enough to think of something 😅.
