Description:

This case is designed to reduce HDD temperatures without active cooling, while also accommodating a Raspberry Pi mount.

Required Materials:

You'll need the following parts:

  • 4 side screws (from the original black MyBook casing)
  • 1 PCB cover screw (from the original black MyBook casing)
  • Additional 3 screws for attaching the backplate

Raspberry Pi Mounting:

To add a Raspberry Pi, use 2 zipties through carefully placed holes on the bottom of the case. Alternatively, a rubber band can also work (though it may not be as reliable in the long term). Malolo's Raspberry Pi 4 and Malolo's Raspberry Pi 3 cases are compatible.

Printing Recommendations:

When printing this model, PLA works well for the “mybook-cover” and “mybook-base” parts due to their relatively low temperature exposure. For the rest of the case, PETG or ABS is recommended for higher thermal tolerance.

To achieve a strong bond between layers, print the "mybook-base" part on its side.
