Ehdrien's Gecko blaster is definitely an amazing blaster, but it's not perfect.
The slide lock on mine has busted multiple times, so when I saw Trevor's Dante Blaster, I got inspired and tried to apply their method of using ball detents to lock the slide to the Gecko.
It takes 3mm ball detents, like these ones.
Glue one ball detent into each side of the slide, and they should mate to the holes on the rear frame.
It's going to take some working in for the ball detents to work their path into the frame, so it's gonna be rough at the start. I made a previous version with channels in the rear frame for the ball detents to travel through, but it wasn't secure enough, unfortunately.
There's also a little cosmetic rectangle you can glue to the slide to replace where the slide lock piece went.
If you have a return spring installed, it, uhhhh, won't return that well anymore. The spring won't have enough force to get the detents past the frame and back into their holes. If you can find a way to get a return spring to work though, I'd love to hear it.
Print Settings: same as the original Gecko
