Printing Instructions

The model consists of two parts: Star and Base. The Star is available with gaps of 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm, and NoGap. For a snug fit with no glue required, use 0.2mm. For those wanting to experiment with color combinations, I recommend using 0.3mm as shown in the photos.

You can use your standard 0.2mm layer height, but I recommend the following for the best results:

• Use Adaptive Layer Height between 0.08 and 0.2 for a smoother finish.
• Set top and bottom layers to concentric pattern for a striking star effect.
• Use 3 walls and 15% lightning infill for a strong yet lightweight piece.
• The Arachne wall generator is ideal for enhancing small details.
• The Bambu Studio file is included with Adaptive Layer Height and all the settings mentioned above.

To customize the gap for larger pieces using the StarNoGap.3mf file, follow these steps in your slicing software:

• Bambu Studio or similar: Quality -> XY Hole compensation (negative value)
• Cura or similar: Walls -> Hole Horizontal Expansion (negative value)
• PrusaSlicer: Advanced -> XY Size Compensation (negative value). This affects all features, but it works. For more precision, apply half the desired gap value to both the Star and Base. This step is optional and only for those seeking extreme precision.
