Fidget: Ball Fidget

This model is a variant of the iconic Rotating Rings Toy. I have made this version fully parametric so you can make it as big or small as you like and you are able to edit all the source code to adjust every single parameter to you and your printer's needs

HOW TO ALTER PARAMETERS:

• When you open the file in openscad it should show these parameters right at the top:
• outer_radius = 65
  width = 3 
  tol = 0.4
  $fn = 100
  height = 6
  ring_num = 9
• Simply change the numbers your preference and then press F5 to preview your progress, once you are happy with the result export the file.

HOW TO EXPORT:

• Once you have altered the parameters accordingly you can export the file as an stl for 3D printing, you do this by pressing F6 on your keyboard to render and then pressing file in the top right, then pressing export and then export as stl
• NOTE- This can take awhile depending on the capability of your computer, so be patient

Parameters:

• outer_radius = 65 - This is the radius of the outer ring/dome
• width = 3 - This is the thickness of the rings
• tol = 0.4 - This is the air gap between each ring (Increase it if you don't trust your printer
• with small detail)
• $fn = 100 - This is the detail of the print(100 is perfect for me but if you scale it you
• might want to increase this number for better detail)
• height = 6 - The height of each ring inside
• ring_num = 9 - The number of rings
