Update 11/10/2024:
Uploaded modified parts 1 - 4
You can find them as parts 1 - 4 V2
Resized them in the middle section, where the PTFE tubing was rubbing against it. With these new parts there's no need to print out plug #3, but you need 2 more of plug #2
I made this riser because I noticed the ptfe-tubing was rubbing the bottom of the glass and I was getting a bit annoyed having to find a place to put the glass when printing with PLA/PETG/TPU.
NOTE: You will NOT be able to use the filament holder as the riser is a couple mm extended to the back.
For this riser I used :
Eryone's ABS+
Plumbers glue for PVC piping (Bison)
Print all the parts in the list
Print lock1 twice if you glue them in place
Print all the plugs twice
How to assemble :
- Base Plate :
- Attach part 1 and part 2 together using the designated plugs. There's no need to use glue to hold them together.
- Do the same for part 3 and part 4.
- Now put the assembled parts together with the 2 largest plugs
- Top Riser
- Glue Part 5 and Part 6 together by applying some glue to the side, use lock 1 to hold pieces in place while drying or you can glue the lock piece as well. It’s all up to you. Glueing the lock piece in might make it a bit stronger.
- Do the same for the mirrored parts (part 7 and part 8)
- Glue Part 9 and Part 10 using the lock 2 piece to hold it in place or just glue the lock as well.
- Riser assembly
- Position the assembled part from step 2.a and glue it on the base plate. Use 2 or three small bar clamps to hold it in place while drying, if you use the same method as I did it’s only a matter of minutes before the parts are sturdy enough to remove the clamps.
- Use the same method to glue the other 2 remaining parts to the base plate.
