I have a Martek drill bit sharpener that is powered by a standard power drill. The original support supplied with the tool was next to useless, so the weight of the drill was resting on the bearings for the sharpener, not a very good idea!
So I designed this holder that fits around the collar of the drill, and then bolts through the metal plate of the sharpener to hold the drill securely.
The centre height of the spindle is 49mm, this was specific to the Martek tool so it may need changing if your utilizing it for other applications. The collar diameter is 42.5mm, which I think is a standard size to fit most power drills. The holes in the holder are to suit a M6 wire thread insert in either end, but if you have a long bolt you could just put a M6 through it all.
Additional parts required were: -
As this needs to be as strong as possible, It was printed using Creality Hyper PLA-CF with the following parameters: -
Standard quality, layer height of 0.2mm, 300 mm/s speed, 0.8mm shell thickness, 50% infill density using AI infill algorithm, standard supports enabled.
