I designed a sun shade for the Mybo Ten Zone scope loosely based on the original model “Sunshade for Ten Zone compound scope”.
The shade is made to slip on to the scope from the front. Held in place by a detent that engages with the unused mounting hole of the scope, no screws required. To prevent pivoting of the shade, I added hooks to the inside of the shade that hook onto the existing shade of the scope to secure it. Stiffening ribs were added as well to further improve the “grip” on the scope. The shape was optimized to print without supports.
Material:
Print out of PETG, ABS or ASA for best performance, as PLA might soften too quickly in the sun and the shade might come loose.
Print settings:
6 Walls (prints solid)
0,2 mm layer height
No Supports
Use XY Size compensation to make the shade fit snugly, -0,1 mm did the trick for me.
The author remixed this model.
