The Shield is a pretty cool puzzle box requiring some secret trick moves to open.

It is not super hard but I really like the locking mechanism.

The original design is created by Bruce Viney who made the plans freely available. Bruce has unfortunately passed away, and his website is no longer accessible. I have modified the design for easy 3d printing with no supports and added some chamfers and tolerances so sanding should not be required to make things slide properly. Just ensure things glides smoothly and do light filing if required to remove print imperfections.

You do not need glue to assembly this just some M2 bolts and nuts. The holes are all 2mm so the fit of the bolts is tight enough they can hold onto the plastic even without nuts. If you prefer you can drill out the holes so the bolt can just be pushed in and use bolts instead

The Shield Cover (with the symbols) are screwed on without nuts as the last bit of the assembly. You could add glue if you want, I did not.
