Here's a purpose-designed bracket to interface with the spring-loaded optical drive pins to add hard drives with some cooling. The other designs were very restrictive and I didn't even try them for fear that the drives would overheat.
This design matches the hexagonal case aesthetic and bolts in an 80mm fan, 8015 and 8025 fans will fit. I've moved the fan a few mm away from the hex grill to minimize the fan noise. The drives have vents above and below each drive (on the sides as oriented). I didn't attempt to make sleds for the drives, because the whole module is so easily removable and it would restrict airflow. I've provided 6 screw holes for each drive (some are not very accessible due to the case latch mount).
It's a large print, but it's mostly just a box and a simple print. A few supports might be necessary for the case latch mount. Also, there are four unsupported corners in the grille that will print better if supported.
