This customizable silica gel container is designed to protect your filament from moisture by holding 150-200 grams of silica gel. With its adjustable dimensions (60mm x 150mm x 40mm) in Solidworks, it easily adapts to fit various setups. The container features extra air holes in the middle and sides, ensuring optimal airflow for effective moisture absorption.

The box comes with a removable sliding lid, which can be printed in PLA or any other material. For those who wish to dry the silica with the container in the oven, heat-resistant filament is recommended.

Print Settings:

  • Print with no top and bottom surfaces to allow airflow through the air holes.
  • Set the infill percentage to at least 30%. I used gyroid, but grid and triangular are also possible. Don't use rectilinear since it will be weaker.
  • If you encounter bed adhesion problems, using a brim is suggested.
  • No overhangs make this model easy to print.
  • Note: The step file is not adjusted for printing and should be separated into objects before use. You can use 3mf instead.

Assembly:
Simply fill the container with silica gel and slide the lid closed—no special tools or extra steps required.
