Devices which need screws in a wall to mount on, but it is difficult to place them? 

For small electric devices/computer accessories like

  • home routers / gateways / CPE
  • small network switches
  • battery chargers

Requirement to be usable, it is to mount devices 

  • 2 slotted screw holes on one back or lower side

Features of bracket

  • exact distance of pins at first attempt
  • height of pins exact to reduce rattle
  • zip ties (horizontal and or vertical) can be looped around device after mounting
  • hook on the bottom adds support and keeps zip tie in the right spot
  • DC cable can be fixed on additional loop eye, for strain relief e.g. on barrel jack DC.

Why this model anyway?

  • speeds up mounting in hard to reach spaces
  • it may be difficult to place screws in the right distance and needs several attempts to adjust the their height for a tight fit
  • cable ties allow even for inverted mounting (by 90° or under a table)
  • need tight fit and no rattle, like in an RV? The bottom hook supports!
  • some DC cables might be in risk of being pulled out. Use the strain relief: The hook can have an eye for a smaller cable tie
  • parameters are printed on a label automatically for later reprint or tweaking
  • add our own text in the top of the label, e.g. to keep track which bracket for what device, in case you print a selection of brackets at once.

Preset File/Customizer

  • unzip .json file, 
  • name must be exact the same as .scad file
  • place it alongside the .scad file in the directory before starting
  • activate Parametrisizer: In the top bar in the window list select “Customizer”

Printing

  • prints without support
  • 3 outer walls recommended, 60% infill is reasonable (during tests we broke/bent devices before the printed part gave up)

  • feel free to add your measurements, we will try to maintain updated json files with presets.
  • OpenSCAD source code included, easy to modify
