A replacement for the stock filament holder which uses 608 bearings for a smoother experience and has modular ends for different spool widths. I tested it with spools up to 2.3 kg without any issues so far.
Because it's an XL I printed them as multi-material print using PLA and TPU, but the TPU is not necessary at all. I just did it because I can.
Additional parts required (for each holder):
The STL files are made for spools up to 70 mm for the short configuration, and up to 105 mm when using the longer modular part. If you want to customize the sizes you can use the Fusion 360 file from the download section.
If you have the official enclosure and plan to use spools with a outer diameter more than ~28 cm, you should use the β8mm Spacingβ version for the upper front holder on both sides to prevent the spools scrubbing on the handle of the bellows.
Assembly instruction further below.
For non-Prusa parts and filaments, check out 3DJake (International, UK, Germany, France).
I'll get a small cut of any order you fulfil using these links (at no additional cost for you π).

If you want to order a Prusa printer and earn some Prusameters (I will also get some), you can use my referral code "@Whity" at checkout or click one of the following links
