I was very fried and really pissed off at AEG for their crap quality this hinge broke after 3 months of use and even after two new free hinges there was no improvement. The support was no help and also very unfriendly as if the problem is with me although it is clearly the component that breaks even with the most careful opening. So I simply designed my own version without any previous experience. That's why I want to share this 3d print with you and hope that many others will be spared the frustration.
I added some pictures to illustrate the process to make the hinge for yourself. After 1 year it still holds fine with no sign of breaking down.
Simply remove the old hinge from the plate and attach it to the 3d print from below with screws or glue, please use a durable plastic for the cold temperatures in the frezzer
