Introduction
This model was designed by my son for a 3D modeling course in high school. (He got 2nd place in the Senior Art Show!) It is his interpretation of the Demogorgon monster from the Netflix television series “Stranger Things”. (It is being uploaded with his permission.)
Files
This model is very support-intensive, but has been split apart to hopefully make things a little easier.
- Display Bases and Labels
- Demogorgon_round_base.stl: A round display base with “Stranger Things” embossed on the side.
- Support needed? Yes, some support may be needed under the lettering.
- Demogorgon_rectangle_base.stl: A rectangular display base with a sloping front to hold labels.
- Demogorgon_base_label_v1.stl: Label with “Stranger Things” embossed 3 mm high. Can be printed in multi-colors. Intended to be glued to front of rectangular base.
- Demogorgon_base_label_v2.stl: Label with “Stranger Things” embossed 1.5 mm high. Can be printed in multi-colors. Intended to be glued to front of rectangular base.
- Demogorgon Models (without base)
- Demogorgon_full_size.stl: Full size model.
- Demogorgon_split_head.stl: Split model of head only.
- Demogorgon_split_arms.stl: Split model of arms only.
- Demogorgon_split_legs.stl: Split model of legs only.
Printing
You will need to print all Demogorgon models with supports. The split models are not necessarily easier to print, but they may make things more manageable. Recommend for better stability you print the base with more perimeters and percentage infill to make it heavier than the model.
Assembly
- Select a base of your choosing to display the Demogorgon model. For the rectangular base, glue one of the labels to the front. The bases and the labels are nothing “spectacular”, so feel free to create a base of your own, if you wish.
- If you printed the split Demogorgon models, simply glue them together matching up the flat faces.
- Glue the Demogorgon model to the base.
Have fun!!
