I wanted to mount a screen on my Skadis. But I couldn't find any reliable 3D printed swivel solution (I need the screen to be adjustable).

Instead of trying to come up with a 3D design, I opted for a reasonably priced Ball Joint module used by photographer. This model is specific to the Smallrig brand's mini ball joints. This allows for a smooth motion and seems very reliable and compact.

This mount is designed with weight in consideration, and as such I recommend up to 1kg object. My monitor is about 250g.

There's wire management channels that can fit a thin HDMI and USB cables. Leave enough slack to allow for motion of your objects.

Print with minimum 4 top/bot layers, 4 perimeters, supports, and 20+% infill to ensure it can handle the torque.

Uses 3x T-nuts to connect the mount to the board with 25mm M2.5 screws.

You will attach the joint by unscrewing from the bottom cold-shoe area, removing the tightening nut, and then inserting the cold-shoe in the 3D print. Replace the original screw. Position the tightening lever near the slot on the left.

The other end of the joint is a \u00bc\" screw which is a standard. I designed my own monitor case with a heat insert. The only fundamental flaw I see in my design that there is no quick release.
