Cheap Camera Arm for Your Phone

This camera arm is designed to securely hold your phone and was inspired by the camera arm featured in Alexander Chapell’s video

It’s a simple and cost-effective solution, with the materials being easy to find and inexpensive.

Materials Needed:

  • 2x M8 nuts
  • 2x M8 bolts (longer than 20mm)
  • 1x 25mm diameter, 1m tube
  • 1x 25mm diameter, 2m tube

Assembly Instructions:

Once you’ve printed all the necessary parts, simply insert the clamp into the body of the arm.

For the Knob  u can find the model that i used here: https://www.printables.com/model/546858-m8-knob

IMPORTANT!
If you're printing with a 0.2 mm layer height, pause the print at layer 213 to insert the nuts.

I didn’t include a phone mount in the design because I used a piece from an old tripod I already had, so this setup may not work for you. However, you can easily find compatible phone tripod mounts by searching on Printables.

Make sure to add some weight to the base to prevent the camera arm from tipping over.

Enjoy and happy printing!
